McBrown speaks on unreleased film with late Bishop Bernard Nyarko

Ghanaian actress and media personality Nana Ama McBrown has disclosed that she has an unreleased movie featuring the late actor Bishop Bernard Nyarko, which was filmed about eight years ago. Speaking in an interview on Fakye Showbiz on August 23, 2026, McBrown revealed that the movie also features actors including Christiana Awuni, Bill Asamoah and Mercy Asiedu. “I have a film that I featured the late Bishop in. If I should release the movie today, and if not for the fact that he is no more, you wouldn’t know we shot that movie about eight years ago,” she said. According to her, the film was completed years ago, but she had planned to add four more scenes to the production before the untimely passing of Bishop Bernard Nyarko. “I had planned to add four scenes to it when Bishop died. After his death, my energy went down and I was hurt,” she recounted. The actress said she also considered the grief being experienced by Bishop's family and felt it would be insensitive to release the movie immediately after his death. “I felt like because of the pain his family was going through, I wouldn’t release it at that moment,” she explained. McBrown described the production as a comedy that could potentially be premiered in cinemas, praising the late Bishop Bernard Nyarko and the other actors for their performances. She noted that the movie is filled with humorous moments and believes viewers would struggle to watch it without laughing frequently. “This is a film that can be premiered and you can’t watch the movie without laughing every three minutes,” she said.
