What Prophet Power Man said about Bawumia and 2028 elections

Founder of Grace Impartation Power Ministry International, Prophet Dr Isaac Nyarko, popularly known as Prophet Dr Power Man, has declared that former Vice President and Flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party, NPP, Dr Mahamudu Bawumia cannot become president of Ghana in 2028.
Speaking on August 16, 2026, Dr Power Man, in a video that has gone viral, insisted that the presidency could not belong to the New Patriotic Party in the next election cycle.
He stressed that his conviction was backed by his faith and church, adding that he was prepared to put his life on the line over the prophecy.
In his pronouncement, Power Man declared that if the prophecy failed, he would personally accept the ultimate consequence, a vow he said underscored the seriousness of his conviction.
His statement comes after Reverend Isaac Owusu Bempah reiterated similar claims, predicting that Dr Bawumia’s presidential ambition would not materialise.
"In 2029, when Dr Bawumia becomes president, take my life. I have realised that Owusu Bempah has reiterated the same point, though his delivery was rather straightforward. In 2028, the seat cannot belong to the NPP, and Dr Bawumia can never be president. I affirm this with my church and my life," he said.
"...I declare this day, August 16, 2026, that Dr Mahamudu Bawumia can never be president, and if he ever becomes one, I, Dr Power Man, stake my very life on it," he affirmed.
Meanwhile, his comments have attracted widespread reactions, with many describing them as provocative and deeply worrying.
According to some netizens, it is unfortunate that no action will be taken against him, arguing that if a scapegoat had been made in Ghana, such incidents would have ceased.
Others also questioned why pastors are involving themselves in politics, warning that such engagements rarely have good endings.
