Home - Video of Bishop Salifu Amoako attacking Prophet Kofi Oduro resurfaces

General Overseer of Alive Chapel International, Bishop Elisha Salifu Amoako, has been thrown into the spotlight after an old video of him attacking Prophet Kofi Oduro resurfaced online.

Amid the recent controversy surrounding pastors speaking against prophets, the video captured Bishop Amoako expressing anger over comments Prophet Oduro made while preaching, which he believed portrayed prophets in the country negatively.

The clergyman also expressed disappointment in Prophet Oduro’s wife for allegedly failing to call her husband to order over his remarks, which he said were damaging the image of prophets.

Bishop Amoako further criticised Prophet Oduro’s preaching style, arguing that it fell short of the standards set by other prominent clergymen.

He cited Archbishop Duncan Williams, Dr Mensah Otabil, Dag Heward-Mills and Agyinasare as examples.

“Oduro, you are the foolish one. It pains me, and I don’t want to insult your wife, who can’t tell you to stop making bad comments about prophets. When I went to Kumasi, Pastor Ransford had the biggest church in Kumasi; when he spoke against the members, his wife called him to order.

“That’s why their church is the biggest. Check Archbishop Duncan Williams, Dr Mensah Otabil, Agyinasare, Dag Heward-Mills; look at how they preach. You don't know how to preach. Tie [listen!] is what? Shut up and stop insulting men of God; don’t allow your mouth to be bigger than your brain,” he said.
