DStv has introduced four new subscription packages in Ghana, with prices starting at GH¢50 per month, as part of a major restructuring aimed at making its services more affordable to households across the country.
The new packages; Starter, Select, Sports and Ultimate, were unveiled by MultiChoice Ghana Chief Executive Officer, Alex Okyere, at a launch event on Wednesday, November 4, 2026.
It takes effect on Thursday, November 5, 2026, replacing the previous Premium, Compact Plus, Compact, Family, Access and Padi packages.

Speaking at the launch, Okyere said the decision followed feedback from customers who wanted more affordable subscription options.
“Our customers have spoken and we have listened. We are coming with new packs, just four simplified packs, very affordable,” he said.
The Starter package, which costs GH¢50 per month, offers 90 channels, including Akoma Magic, Cartoon Network, the Premier League Match of the Week and all La Liga matches.
Okyere said the package was designed to make DStv accessible to more households, adding that “our dream is that every home in Ghana will have DStv in their houses and everybody should be able to afford the Starter pack.”
Subscribers seeking more channels can opt for the Select package at GH¢100 per month, which offers 123 channels.
The package includes additional content such as CNN and M-Net Movies, alongside a wider range of family-oriented entertainment.
Okyere said Select was designed for customers who wanted a broader range of movies and other television content.
The Ultimate package, priced at GH¢570 per month, is designed for subscribers seeking premium sports and entertainment content, including Formula One, MotoGP, golf, rugby and tennis.
Okyere stressed that the new prices were not part of a temporary promotion but represented a permanent change to the company's subscription structure.
“So it is not a promo. It is a permanent change that we've done,” he said, describing the new offering with the slogan,
“Expect more and pay less,” he concluded.
