Liverpool join Man United in Boakye-Yiadom hunt

English Premier League side Liverpool have reportedly joined the train of sides interested in the services of young Ghanaian Striker Richmond Boakye-Yiadom.

Fresh reports emerging from the Italian media indicate the English side are keen on the Juventus and Genoa co-owned youngster who is currently on-loan at Serie B club Sassuolo and have began following his progress closely by sending scouts to watch him in action last week.

Liverpool recently put in place a new scouting network which is scouring the globe for the world's most promising young players of which the Ghanaian has become the latest starlet to catch the club's eye.

Southampton and Manchester United have also been named to be keeping tabs on the Ghanaian progidy.

Boakye joined Genoa in 2009, and made his first Serie A appearance in April 2010 against Livorno, against whom he scored a debut goal.

In June 2011, Boakye joined Sassuolo on a one-year loan deal, going on to score 12 goals in 34 appearances for the club.

Juventus then signed the Ghanaian in July 2012 in a co-ownership deal from Genoa, and swiftly sent him back out on loan to Sassuolo.
