Appiah Close To Napoli Deal

Ghanaian youngster Derrick Appiah is close to signing for Italian Serie A side SSC Napoli.

The Stadio San Paoloi outfit are desperate to sign the Amidaus FC player who impressed after a one-week trial stint.

The box-to-box midfielder is a highly rated talent in Naples after Napoli’s Chief Scout spotted him in a tournament organized by ArthurLegacy Sports Management Limited in Kumasi in April.

Appiah, 17, boasts of his superb pace, power, awareness, skill and power.

He has been likened to Chelsea ace Michael Essien and Cesc Fabregas of Barcelona.
