Ghana international Alhassan Wakaso is finally enjoying his time in France after joining Lorient in January as part of a move to help save a sinking ship.

The 24-year-old Ghana international is seen as rising midfield power house filled with energy, passion and determination of covering every blade of grass on the pitch.

Following a big money move from Rio Ave in Portugal to Lorient in France Alhassan has already played in 10 league games and three cup games, making him the most consistent player in coach Bernard Casoni’s team in 2017.

Fellow Ghanaian Abdul Majeed Waris has played a part in his acclimatization, ensuring he is always focused and ready to go.

“I feel very comfortable now but offcourse we have a lot of games to play to stay up,” Alhassan said

“But slowly and surely I am enjoying on the pitch. It’s been very difficult to get three points but after that important victory against Nancy we are getting there.”

“My family is feeling good and for me that is the most important thing at this point.”

“Waris has been great offcourse I have known him for long but all my team mates have also helped in.”

Lorient will be hoping that they build on their 3-2 victory over Nancy when they face Caen next week in the French League.
