Crystal Palace Star Jeffrey Schlupp is facing a lengthy spell on the sidelines after picking up a hip injury.

The Ghanaian international was forced off at half-time during Saturday’s 0-0 draw at Watford in the Premier League.

The versatile player has been ruled out of Palace’s next clash against Brighton and Hove Albion on Monday.

According to reports from England, scans have confirmed Schlupp has suffered tendon damage to his hip and he could be out of action for between two to three months.

The injury is another blow for Palace boss Roy Hodgson with a number of players, including Patrick Van Aanholt and Joel Ward on the injury list at Selhurst Park ahead of the busy festive period.

Schlupp has scored two goals and provided two assists in 14 Premier League appearances this season.
