Ghanaian midfielder Abdul Bakie Haruna has joined Jordanian top-flight side Kufrsoum SC on loan until the end of the season.

The 19-year-old moves from Ghanaian second-tier side Montreal United Football after impressing on following two weeks of trial at the club.

Kufrsoum will have the first option of extending the contract into a permanent deal when it expires in six months time.

The midfielder has been the target of some clubs in Asia after scouts travelled to Ghana to watch his performance for the revived Nima-based club.

Haruna signed the deal this week and has already started playing friendly matches for the club.

He was part of the five Ghanaian players shipped last month to Jordan to be observed by clubs in the league.

Former Wa All Stars midfielder Nasiru Pablo Moro was the leading player among the footballers who arrived in Amman last month.

The rest of the four players are from the revived second-tier side Montreal Football Club based in the sprawling Accra suburb of Nima. Experienced striker Bala Gargo Mohammed, who formerly played for top-flight side Inter Allies, is among the four players from Montreal who have been invited to train in Jordan.

Ashmond Dagban, Samudeen Musah and Abdul-Bakie Haruna are the other three players from Montreal who also travelled to the country to seal the deal with the top-flight sides.

Scouts of the Jordanian sides monitored the players before handing them the chance to travel to impress.
