Ghana striker Richmond Boakye-Yiadom has expressed surety about a transfer to England in January.

The 25-year-old, who has been linked to the likes of Chelsea, Everton and Southampton in the past, is currently on the books of Serbian side Red Star Belgrade, having rejoined the club in August after a brief stint in China.

He has three goals in three league appearances for The Red-Whites so far during his second spell.

“I think it's the dream of most players to play in England and I think this season, my move to England is going to happen,” Boakye-Yiadom told Sportsworldghana.

"I’m not going to give details but it will surely happen by January.

"In two or three months, it will happen. It’s not that I am hoping for; it will happen."

"I am not willing to say this team or that team. I am ready to play for any of the premiership teams."

Boakye registered 27 league goals in two seasons for Red Star before heading for Jiangsu Suning in China.

"You can see the English Premier League is one of the best leagues in the world," the former Juventus and Sassuolo man continued.

"Tomorrow you can find out that West Ham United are beating Manchester United, so it doesn’t matter the team you play for.

"The most important thing is to get into the system, deliver for a middle class team and then you will find the big clubs coming for you.

"I have a game against Liverpool in the Champions League [next week], so I think that game is one of the games that I should show to everybody that I'm ready to play in the Premiership."

Boakye has also had stints with Italian club Sassuolo, Spanish side Elche, Italian outfits Genoa, Atalanta and Latina as well as Dutch fold Roda JC.
