Wolverhampton Wanderers midfielder Ivan Cavaleiro has been named the Championship fans' player of the month of November, beating Ghana and Aston Villa winger Albert Adomah despite the latter’s outstanding performances during the month.

Cavaleiro, 24, who joined Wolves from Ligue 1 giants Monaco last season, scored four goals in November to help his side keep a stranglehold on the top spot as they chase one of the two automatic tickets to be in the Premier League next season.

The Portuguese winger amassed 24 per cent of the total votes and Adomah was in second place with 21 per cent of the votes while Sheffield United's Leon Clarke finished in third position with 20 per cent.

Despite the miss, Adomah is likely to return to Ghana's senior national team after almost one year away, as coach Kwesi Appiah is scheduled to scout him this Christmas when he joins his family in UK.
