Medeama names new 10-man management team

Experienced football administrator Kwabena Asante has been named as the vice-president of Medeama and heads the new management team announced by the club on Friday.

Asante, who founded first division outfit Tarkwa United, will head the new-look managerial set-up of the Mauve and Yellows following the disbandment of the former management team.

James Essilfie has retained his position as the Chief Executive Officer of the club with Alfred Owusu appointed the deputy Chief Executive for Special duties.

Tony Nkrumah Boateng retains his place as the club’s Communication Director while Ebenezer Aidoo has been appointed as the Brands and Marketing Manager of the club.

Other members of the management team include Victor Kwadwo Adimah, Joseph Cobbinah and Stephen Dankwa-Smith.

The rest are Emmanuel Asafua and chairman of the National Supporters Union Kwadwo Ackon.

Surprisingly, there is no place in the new management team for Edmund Ackah, who served as the club’s Accra representative.

Club president Moses Armah has reconstituted the management team which has been tasked to return the club to its former glories.
