Vorsah will be fit for World Cup - Schmidt

Red Bull Salzburg head coach Roger Schmidt has given the assurance that Ghanaian defender Isaac Vorsah will be fit before the World Cup.

Vorsah sustained a knee injury last year May in the League Cup semi-finals against Traun and has not played ever since.

“The assistant coach of the national team of Ghana was recently here and stressed the importance of Isaac for the World Cup team,” Schmidt told Laola1. “Our goal is to get him fit for Ghana ahead of the Mundial in Brazil.”

Vorsah, who featured for Ghana at the last global football fiesta in South Africa is expected to start training soon under a special coach before joining the main team.

His last outing for Ghana was the Fifa World Cup qualifier for Ghana against Zambia at the Baba Yara Stadium.
