Ghana U20 to use Tamale Stadium for African qualifiers

The Black Satellites have again adopted the Northern Region for their home games during the qualifiers to next year’s African Youth Championships.

Coach Sellas Tetteh’s side are waiting in the wings to know their next opponent in the qualifiers to emerge from a preliminary qualifier between Guinea and Sierra Leone.

The team has however adopted the Tamale Stadium to host their next qualifier even before the identity of their next opponent is known.

“We will be playing our home match in Tamale,” Black Satellites’ assistant coach Yaw Preko revealed to Metro FM.

“From the programme we’ve drawn, the game will be played in Tamale since there is no match fixed for that venue.”

The Ghana U20 side hope to qualify to their second straight finals at the African Youth Championships following their impressive silver-medal feat in the last tournament hosted last year by Algeria.
