Afful’s strike decides Tunisian top liner

Ghanaian lateral defender Harrison Afful scored his second goal in three days on Wednesday afternoon as he aided Esperance to beat arch-rivals CS Sfaxien by one goal to nothing.

Sfaxien have been a thorn in the flesh of the Blood and Gold recently as they beat them to win the Super Cup but Afful made sure Esperance run away with the maximum points this time.

The Black Stars player netted just eight minutes after the break in Sfax to give his side a sweet victory over Sfaxien.

The win has seen Esperance cement their place at the top with nine clear points separating them from the second-placed team.

Afful was also on the score sheet against Real Bamako on Sunday.
