Nyantakyi hopeful of Ghana’s CHAN chances

Ghana Football Association President, Kwasi Nyantakyi, is optimistic of the local Black Stars' chances of lifting this year’s CHAN tournament in South Africa.

Much is expected from Coach Maxwell Konadu and his team as they ready to compete at the African Nations Championship which begins on Saturday, 11th January, 2014.

The local Black Stars will begin their campaign in a Group C game against Congo on Monday and FA President Nyantakyi remains hopeful about their chances.

“I look forward to a good performance this time round we are a candidate to winning the championship and I’m very hopeful that we will win, said Nyantakyi.

“We have a good team with best players from our domestic league who have been in camp for some time now.

“Maxwell Konadu has done a good job by transforming the team through the WAFU Competition up to this time and we are praying for the team to excel at this competition. I have spoken to Maxwell [the coach] and he has assured me that things are shaping up so we pray things go well for the team.”
