Dwarfs test Awaits Kotoko

Defending league champions Asante Kotoko will have an acid test to answer this Sunday as they journey to the central regional capital to face Mysterious Ebusua Dwarfs at the Cape Coast Robert Mensah Stadium.

Dwarfs returned to their favorite venue last Sunday with a 4 – 0 drabbling to Berekum Chelsea and would like to continue their winning spree at home as they come face to face with the champions but Asante Kotoko has other ideas.

The Porcupine Warriors may know the right pill to arrest Dwarfs because they where the team that managed to stop Dwarfs’ invincibility last season but sources close to me from Cape Coast has it that Dwarfs are going to treat this match with all the seriousness it deserves and Kotoko may find it difficult returning to Kumasi after the ninety minutes of real soccer action.

Dwarfs are third on the log with 17 points whiles Asante Kotoko have moved down to the sixth position after splitting point with New Edubiase United in the mid-week. For Coach Didi Dramani to survive in Cape Coast he needs not to play ‘Dada Ba’ kind of game because Dwarfs are physically astute and can run for more than ninety minutes.

At the Accra Sports Stadium, Glorious Hearts of Oak will play as guest to soccer miners Ashantigold football club. This is going to be the first time Coach David Duncan meets Ashantigold since he left the miners half way through last season.

Hearts have moved up to the seventh position on the table with 12 points the same as Ashantigold but on the eighth position. Hearts are gradually picking the bones on the road and the visitor’s needs to pluck their chances early to avoid a second defeat in a week.

At the Nana Gyamfi Park in Bekwai, New Edubiase united will welcome the scientific soccer lads Liberty Professionals. Edubiase in ninth on the ladder with 11 points whiles Liberty is fifth with 15 points.

Medeama Sporting Club will welcome Kpando Hearts of Lions to the Tarkwa T&A Park. Medeama have moved to the second spot on the table after defeating Ashantigold last Wednesday at the Len Clay Stadium whiles Lions are twelfth with 10 points.

At the Tema Community 3 Park, two harbor clubs Tema Youth and new entrant Amidaus Professionals will square it up. Tema Youth is eleventh on the ladder with 10 points whiles Amidaus is tenth with the same points.

Alhaji Grunsah’s King Faisal will face Berekum Chelsea at the Kumasi Baba Yara Stadium. Faisal have not gained their former form since they re joined the premier division after a short spell in division one and playing against Chelsea could be dicey for the one time ‘Nokia Boys’. King Faisal is thirteenth on the log with 8 points whiles Chelsea is fourth with 17 points.

Berekum Arsenals will also welcome their regional rivals Aduana Stars to the Golden City Park. Aduana occupies the summit of the table with 18 points whiles their brothers comes second from bottom with 7 points.

However, All Stars will play as host to Real Tamale United at the Wa Park. All Stars are fourteenth on the ladder with 7 points whiles R T U is sixteenth with 4 points.
