Chelsea ready for Kyenkyenkye challenge

Berekum Chelsea have consigned their failure to successfully defend the league title won last year to the background as they target glory in the MTN FA Cup.

Semi-finalist in the previous Cup competition, Chelsea will be in action on Sunday when they line up against Division One side, Kyenkyenkye at the Dormaa Park in outstanding round of 16 match.

Ahead of the match, Kyenkyenkye are promising to cause another Cup upset following Asante Kotoko's elimination by a second tier side.

But Chelsea captain Abdul Basit says the continental campaigners are determined to progress beyond the fourth-round stage as they chase the title.

“We are ready for the game and we give our all to ensure we progress to the next stage”.

“Winning the FA Cup will appease our fans since we couldn’t defend the premier league title”.

Referee E.R. Biney is the match referee for the final Round of 16 fixture.

The winner of the fixture will meet Amidaus Professionals in the next round on 10th June.
