Yaw Preko denies Inter Allies link

Coach Yaw Preko says he’s not going to assist new Inter Allies Head Coach, Kenichi Yatsuhasi as being speculated in some media circles. Preko, who assisted Kenichi at both Hearts of Oak and Nigerian side, Ifeanyi Ubah, was spotted training with Inter Allies players last week, an action that many believed would soon see the union of both coaches.

“I mean it’s ridiculous why people will just say that I’ve signed for Inter Allies without asking officials of the club or contacting me” Preko told FootballMadeInGhana.com. “As you’re aware, the last coach they had was Karim Zito who has since rejoined his club, Dreams FC.

“So, when I returned from Nigeria, they contacted me that they wanted me to assist them in pre-season and train their players till their new coach arrives. That’s basically why I’m seen around the team” he added.

“I’m not going to be the assistant coach of Inter Allies or Kenichi” he stated categorically. For Preko, he has his sight elsewhere but won’t hesitate to offer his services to any club during this preseason in any capacity.

The Management of Inter Allies last week announced that they’ve reached an agreement with Kenichi Yatsuhasi to be their new Head Coach as well as their youth development side, Cedar Stars Academy, Ghana. The Japanese coach has since arrived in Ghana.
