We won't stop Nyantakyi allies from campaigning for GFA Presidency - Lucy Quist

Mrs.Lucy Quist, a member of Ghana Football Association Normalization Committee, has disclosed that the committee has no power to restrict former GFA President Kwesi Nyantakyi allies from leading the Ghana Football Association in the near future.

The Committee, which is led by Dr. Kofi Amoah is supposed to bring football back to normalcy in the country in the aftermath of Anas investigative piece on corruption in Ghana football where some top GFA officials and referees were caught on camera taking bribe.

As part of their duties, the Normalisation Committee have been mandated to organise elections for the FA executives, but Lucy Quist says they have no authority to block a member of the Nyantakyi led administration from contesting for a leadership position at the FA neither will they(Normalization Committee) end the campaigning of the GFA Presidency.

"Normalisation Committee won't stop campaigning for GFA Presidency". We would not also stop Kwasi Nyantakyi allies from leading GFA in future".

"The Committee won't witch-hunt Nyantakyi allies, keen on systems", she said

Lucy Quist also revealed that coach Kwesi Appiah's contract issues are not resolved ahead of the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations to be staged in Egypt.

"The contract of Ghana coach Kwesi Appiah still not resolved".Meanwhile, Appiah has few months left on his contract despite African Cup of Nations at the corner.
