Statement by the board of directors of Accra Hearts of Oak

The board of Directors of the club at its meeting held on 20th February 2002 took the following decisions:

    1. The positions of the Chief Executive Officer and a Financial controller (Accountant) shall immediately be advertised in the national dailies.

    2. It is expected that within a period of three to four months, FULL TIME employee shall fill both positions by appointment from interview to be conducted.

    3. Mr. Harry Zakkour would however act as a special advisor to the present management of the club.

    4. Mr. Thomas Okine, the current Vice Chairman of the club, has been appointed by the Board to act as the chief Executive Officer of the club until the full time Chief Executive Officer takes over.

    5. The position of the special advisor to the Board chairman currently being occupied by Mr. Kojo Twum Boafo has been abolished with immediate effect and consequently the appointment of Mr. Twum Boafo has been terminated forthwith.



The Board wished to remind all members of the club that it is the sole right of the Board to lay down general policies for implementation by the management and to also decide on who occupies the position of the Chief Executive Officer of the Club.

Consequently, these above stated decisions which were taken in conjunction with the leadership of the National Chapter Coordination committee (NCCC) have taken into consideration the long term plan of the club to build a strong and professional management team for the clubs.
