My return is the perfect time - Maxwell Konadu

Newly-appointed head coach of Asante Kotoko Maxwell Konadu has stated that this the perfect time to return to the club since leaving in 2012.

According to the coach, he decided to return to the club due to the faith management and the fans showed in him.

“The difference is that that this time the team’s efforts to get me was greater than all other years, that also played a major role.

“Dignitaries from all facets who have the club at heart kept calling me every now and then, including our own Dr Kwame Kyei (Executive Chairman of Asante Kotoko).

“I think it’s the right time for me to make that decision because the efforts from the officials to get me was greater, and in football, too even for players they go where they are most wanted”

He also insisted money wasn’t the reason for his return to the club.

“Most of the times it’s not about where you get the most money but if you go where you are wanted the most that is where you are mostly successful, so I think the timing is right and I don’t think there will be the problem.”
