Ghana midfielder Majeed Ashimeru has taken philanthropy to a whole new level after an awesome gesture to Nima-411 residents.

The former WAFA player has donated assorted items worth over GH¢35,000 to support the Eid-ul-Fitr celebrations to the people within the community.

Among the items donated are bags of rice, gallons of cooking oil and 300 live birds. The donation was made on the player’s behalf with the message that he wants it to be distributed to households in the Nima-441 neighbourhood in Accra.

This is the latest in a string of donation made by the Red Bull Salzburg player to the community he grew up in.

In April, he distributed bags of rice, cooking oil and hand sanitizers to residents during coronavirus lockdown period.

He followed it up during the month of Ramadan, by giving out groceries including beverages, tin of milk, sugar and fruits.
