Players of Karela United have boycotted training over their unpaid salaries, according to reports.

The Nzema based club are reported to have not paid the salaries of their players in the last four months leading to the resistance of players to train.

According to information gathered, the players were hopeful of getting some part of their unpaid salaries had the Normalisation Committee's Special Competition not been cancelled.

However, after the NC confirmed on Tuesday the tournament was cancelled, the players decided to stop training and demand the monies owed them.

Meanwhile, it is understood the Parliamentary select committee on Sports will be meeting the NC and club administrators to settle the stand off between the two parties.

Karela United were promoted into Ghana Premier League after winning the 2017 Division One zone two league.
