As the world marks the celebration of International Nurses Day, some nurses in Ghana have taken time to advise the public to protect themselves from contracting coronavirus.

The virus has caused a global pandemic with Ghana recording more than 5,000 cases with death rate standing at 22 and the number of recoveries being 494.

In a short video to mark the day, some nurses have advised Ghanaians to take the virus seriously while practicing safety precautions.

One of the frontline nurses described the current circumstance as a “form of fulfillment and mixed emotions” which involves “putting patients in wellbeing and the pain of seeing people die.”

Having come into contact with several suspected cases another nurse opined that the era has being one of the most challenging times in their profession as nurses.
