Hearts of Oak condemn acts of hooliganism by supporters

Accra Hearts of Oak have condemned supporters retaliation following Sunday’s 2:0 friendly defeat to Kumasi Asante Kotoko.

Referee Ben Sefa, who was the center referee in the return leg of the Super Clash according to the traveling supporters favoured the home side, Kotoko which called for the Hearts fans breaking about 170 chairs at the Kumasi Baba Yara Stadium.

Supporters of the Accra based Premier League outfit felt they were denied a penalty after Patrick Razak was brought down in the penalty around the 73rd minutes. They threw missiles onto the field of play to prompt action from the police.

Hearts of Oak has however, condemned the acts of the supporters and described it as unsporting.

“During yesterday’s match, a group of supporters took out their frustrations by destroying public property and acting in a manner that is inconsistent with Club values. We condemn this unsporting behavior in the strongest possible manner and offer our sincere apologies” they posted on their official Facebook page.
