Going into the clash, Bafana will be deemed as underdogs considering the latest Fifa Rankings.

#4 Baxter's Ghanaian woes

While Bafana may have the head-to-head advantage, it is important to note that Stuart Baxter has never beaten Ghana while in charge of the South Africa national team.

During his first stint with Bafana in the early 2000s, the sides met on two occasions, and both ended in favour of Ghana.

#5 Bafana - No win since 2010

There has been two other games since Bafana last won a game against Ghana in 2010. The Southern Africans have lost one and drawn one. The last meeting was back in 2016 - an international friendly. The game ended 1-1 with Ayanda Patosi scoring for Bafana and Mubarak Wakaso netting for the Ghanaians.



Surprisingly, Ghana have never won an official friendly match against Bafana.

According to Fifa's website, out of the five previous meetings, Bafana have won three and have drawn the other two.
