The qualification for the 2019 African Cup of Nations started back in March 2017. Following a small preliminary round, the teams were drawn into groups of four and Ghana were placed with Kenya, Ethiopia and Sierra Leone in Group F.

Their record speaks for itself and Ghana have reached the semi-final in each of the last six Africa Cup of Nations tournaments.
