Ghana midfielder Kwame Bonsu has expressed his concern about the fracas surrounding his transfer to Esperance de Tunis.

Bonsu joined the Blood and Gold side on a four-year deal from Ghana Premier League giants Asante Kotoko last year.

The defensive midfielder’s was reported to have joined the Tunisian giants for a region of $150,000.

However, the CAF champions League champions have refused to settle the transfer fee to Asante Kotoko citing a debt owed them by the Ghanaian club.

The Tunisian club claimed Asante Kotoko owed them $180,000 over the signing of Emmanuel Clottey, hence the Porcupine Warriors instead must add $30,000 to them to square off the debt.

During an interview with Kumasi-based Silver FM, Bonsu did not hide his displeasure at how his transfer to the club has panned out.

"I asked our management (Esperance) and they told me it is true they haven't paid the money because Kotoko owe them on a transfer in player Emmanuel Clottey, and this worries me a lot because my name would always be mentioned."

Bonsu made 9 league appearances for the side before the league was halted due to the coronavirus crisis.

He enjoyed 2 appearances at the 2019 World Club Cup, and also featured in the 2020 CAF Super Cup.
