German-born Ghanaian prodigy Charles Jesaja Hermann scored twice for Wolfsburg’s second team when they thrashed Athletic Club B in the Premier League International Cup on Wednesday night.

The 18-year-old took a stranglehold of the game as he opened the scoring in the 15th minute before doubling his side’s advantage 6 minutes before half-time.

Hermann, son of former Ghana captain Charles Akunnor, has been in explosive shape for Wolfsburg II netting five goals in the season so far.

The ambidextrous attacker raced inside to claim a pass from a team-mate and fired into the net with his powerful left-footed drive.

His second goal arrived on the back of a predatory effort as he arrived at the right place to bury the ball home for the second goal before his team ended the half with a late strike.

Hermann has already represented Germany at youth level and scored for the European giants his last outing for the U19 side.

Trio Malcolm Badu, Richmond Tachie and John Yeboah all started the game for the Germans as they hammered their Spain opponents.
