CAF Confed Cup: Richard Senanu racing against time to be fit for Nkana clash

Asante Kotoko’s trusted midfielder Richard Senanu is racing swiftly against time for the side’s titanic clash with Nkana FC on Sunday in the CAF Confederation Cup clash.

The Porcupine Warriors will host the Zambian giants in the 4th Group C clash after terribly suffering a 3-1 defeat on Sunday at the Nkana Stadium in Kitwe.

With barely 42 hours to the game, the player is yet to be declared fit for the clash.

The midfielder, on Friday, trained with the Fabulous Boys but did not kick a ball.

There are serious doubts as to whether the mercurial midfielder will be cleared for the game.

But understands that, the Player is 90% out of the game and C K Akonnor and his team will have to do against Nkana without him.

Richard Senanu sustained an Injury in Asante Kotoko game against Zesco in Kumasi, and missed their game against Nkana in Zambia.

The absence of Senanu could be a huge blow to Akonnor as he’s proved to be a massive addition to the side since joining from the lower tier leagues.
