Ghana Premier League champions Aduana Stars lost 2-0 to Congolese side A.S Vita Club in their CAF Confederation group game played in Kinshasa over the weekend.

Aduana had beaten the Congolese side 1-2 a fortnight ago but couldn’t repeat the feat as they lost in DR Congo.

A.S Vita was the better of the two sides and got an early lead in the 14th minute through Mundela Jean-Marc.

Aduana Stars goalkeeper Joseph Addo, however, did well to keep the score line 1-0 at half time.

But Vita mounted pressure on the Ghanaians for the second goal and they finally got that goal through Mundela again.

He kept his composure after rounding Addo to slot home the ball.

The win takes the DR Congo side to the top of Group A on seven points while Aduana stay third with four points.

Aduana Stars play ASEC on Sunday, August 19 in their next match while AS Vita play at home again against Morocco’s Raja.
