Augustine Sefah: Kotoko will survive the battle

A defender of Kumasi Asante Kotoko, Augustine Sefah says the players have consigned the narrow defeat suffered from Al Hilal of Sudan to history and looking forward to their next match against Zesco United of Zambia at their favourite Baba Yara Sports stadium on Sunday, February 13.

“ We will surely bounce back to be in contention in our group so, our fans should remain calm and stand solidly behind us,” Sefah told the media after the team arrived from Sudan.

A 40th-minute header by 20-year-old Waleed Bakheek's separated the Porcupine Warriors from their opponents during their opening Group C CAF Confederations Cup match played in Sudan on Sunday, February 3

According to the defender, all his teammates are totally focused on the five matches ahead and were determined to make the best to claw back the points they lost in Sudan.

“ With five matches to go, we have the opportunity to book a place in the semi-finals if we perform creditably. We just lost a battle in Sudan, but the war is ongoing, so the fans should remain calm and continue supporting us” he declared

After their match against Zesco, Kotoko will honour their third match against Nkana in Zambia and Sefah believes that positive results will push them to their title aspirations
