Ghana legend Abedi Pele was the main man behind the massive transfer of midfielder Andre Ayew's move to Fenerbahce, Ghanasoccernet.com can exclusively reveal.

Ayew, whose father is the three-time African Footballer of the Year winner, traveled from London to Istanbul with the highly respected former footballer to seal the transfer.

He was involved in the negotiations between Swansea City and Fenerbahce, paving the way for a smooth transfer.

Ayew completed his move to Fenerbahce from Welsh club Swansea City on Friday after passing his medical in the capital city of Istanbul.
