Alleged JJ's Son’s marriage to Akufo Addo's daughter

Akufo Addo’s Boy
Confirms Relationship
-Even as both parents deny any liaison

Despite the persistent denial by the Akufo-Addo and the Rawlingses families of any link, let alone marriage plans between their daughter and son, Adriana Dokua Akufo Addo and Kimathi Agyeman Rawlings respectively, the contrary has been proven.
Mr. Samuel Abu Jinapor, a special aide to the New Patriotic Party (NPP) 2012 presidential Candidate, Nana Akufo-Addo though will not confirm or deny whether the marriage will come off, categorically stated that there is indeed a relationship between Kimathi Agyeman Rawlings, son of the National Democratic Congress founder Jerry John Rawlings and Adriana Dokua Akufo Addo, daughter of Nana Akufo Addo.
This is in sharp contrast to the denial statement put out by the two prominent families late last week in reaction to a story published by this paper that Kimathi Agyeman Rawlings and Adriana Dokua Akufo Addo are nursing the desire to get married in a grandiose wedding ever to be witnessed in Ghana in recent times.
According to a statement released from the office of former president Jerry John Rawlings Tuesday 26th June, 2012 “the Office of ex-President Rawlings has taken note of a publication in an Accra tabloid of Tuesday, June 26, 2012 stating that Kimathi Agyeman-Rawlings is set to wed the daughter of Nana Akufo-Addo, Adriana Dokua…
“We hereby inform the general public that there is no liaison between the two people as published in the media. Mr. Kimathi Rawlings confirms that there is no such relationship between him and the young lady”.
This was followed by another denial statement from the office of the NPP flag bearer, Nana Akufo-Addo the following day and signed by Herbert Krapa, his press secretary which also reaffirmed the statement from Kimathi’s father’s office: “The attention of the office of Nana Akufo-Addo, the New Patriotic Party (NPP) 2012 presidential candidate, who is currently touring the Upper West Region ahead of the December elections, has been drawn to a publication in The Al-Hajj newspaper on Tuesday, 26th June, 2012, alleging that Kimathi Agyeman-Rawlings, son of the former first couple, is set to marry Nana Akufo-Addo's daughter, Edwina Nana Dokua Akufo-Addo…

“We wish to place on record that the publication is an outright fabrication, that there is no truth whatsoever in this story…
The statement continued; “In addition, the office of ex-President Rawlings and Mr. Kimathi Agyeman-Rawlings have stated that there is absolutely no liaison and the story is mischievous. Nana Dokua has confirmed to her father that there is no truth whatsoever in the story”.
But speaking on Metro TV’s ‘Good Morning Ghana’ breakfast show hosted by talented Shamima Muslim last Wednesday, Nana Akufo Addo’s special aide, Mr. Samuel Abu Jinapor emphatically stated that the alleged love birds have indeed been seeing each other, but was quick to add that it does not amount to getting married. “I don’t want to believe this story that they (Kimathi and Dokua) are getting married, what I do know is that, it is true they have been in touch, indeed, I know they have met about three times, but I wouldn’t say that amounts to them getting married.
When The Al-Hajj reached Nana Addo’s special aide, Mr. Abu Jinapor, he confirmed stating on Metro TV ‘Good Morning Ghana’ breakfast show that indeed, Kimathi Agyeman Rawlings and Adriana Dokua Akufo Addo have met three times but was once more quick to add that, he has no information they two are getting married.
