The two demoted headmasters and their colleagues who were interdicted after charging unapproved fees following government roll out of the free Senior High School policy have brought disgrace to themselves and their families.

“The head teachers have brought disgrace to themselves and their families because there is guidelines…don’t charge…simplicity” he stated.

The Daffour headmaster S.C.K Agbeke is to be reprimanded for “poor supervision”.

Contributing to discussions on TV3’s New Day hosted by Johnnie Hughes on Friday, Ekow Vincent Assafuah said “it is not the mandate of a head teacher and headmasters to charge a student for desk. It is the sole responsibility of the GES”.

The NPP man said “we signed a social contract with the people of Ghana in 2016 to ensure that they have free SHS and not to surcharge student since it is free”.
