Christian Women urged to play roles expected of them

Dixcove (W/R), April 30, GNA- The Reverend Christina Dzakpasu, Minister in Charge of the Ebenezer Methodist Church at Ketan has said that women should play their respective roles as mothers, wives, home managers and responsible teachers of their children.

She said if women failed their households and children, their roles would become irrelevant and could be sidelined by the society. Rev. Mrs. Dzakpasu said these at the women's rally of the diocese at Dixcove as part of the 46th annual synod, which was on the theme "Empowerment by the Holy Spirit for Church and State Development, the role of the Christina women".

She said the church and society now looked on Christian women to lead the way and set good examples for the youth and society as a whole and should not shirk their responsibilities.

Rev. Dzakpasu said the women must emulate biblical Christian women and use their lifestyles as a standard for all. She noted that many Christian women had not been able to control their own homes and children and also do not set good moral examples for others to emulate.

Rev. Mrs Dzakpasu said Christian women should allow the Holy Spirit to lead them in all that they do and should not shun their fellow Christians.
