Lassic fm Techiman; The Brong Ahafo Regional branch of the Women's Movement in the Assemblies of God Church, Ghana, has held a four-day retreat under the theme "Let’s us rise and build," at Drobo in the Jaman South District. Opening the retreat, Mrs. Margaret Duah, the Regional Director said, women played an important role in the socio-economic development of every nation. "As Christian women, you should portray yourselves as ideal mothers and play an active role in shepherding the youth who are losing their sense of direction as a result of their interaction with foreign cultures" Mrs. Duah said.

The Women’s Director was of the view that if the women accepted this challenge and exemplified their unique status in society, she was positive that they could fashion the fortunes of Ghana and the future of the nation could be in the hands of well-disciplined and morally upright youth. Mrs. Margaret Duah who is also the Managing Director of White Rose Restaurant in Techiman, therefore urged women to rise and build their lives, families, marriages churches, communities and the nation as a whole with their exemplary conducts, love, attitude, purity, faith and their dressing. The Brong Ahafo Regional Superintendent for the church Rev. E.K Mensah noted that, the task confronting women today, as Christians is not just the movement of the faithful from one city to the other spreading the gospel, it also includes nation building, fighting corruption, eschewing greed and several others. These cannot be won without the support of the Holy Spirit adding that efficiency without God is totally deficiency. An Evangelist from Accra who was the main speaker for the retreat called on the women to use their womanhood to promote peace stability and uniformity to move the nation forward.
