Assemblyman donates teaching, learning materials to Ellembelle school

The Assemblyman of Tandan electoral area in the Ellembelle District of the Western Region, Hon. Charles Kwesi has donated teaching and learning materials valued over GHC500 to God is Good Proprietary School in his area.

The donation forms part of his campaign pledge to support and improve effective teaching and learning in the schools of his electoral area.

The donation included exercise books, pens, boxes of chalk, pencils, crayon among others.

He also donated 5 bags of cement to the school to support the building of their new classroom block.

Speaking at a colourful vacation ceremony held at the school premises over the weekend, Hon. Charles Kwesi said the support shows his commitment towards ensuring that students in his electoral area are supported at every stage of the educational ladder to realize their potentials.

He, therefore, advised the pupils to take their studies seriously since they are the future leaders of the nation.

He used the occasion to encourage the teaching staff to work hard and also urged them to work with patience, humility and selfless in other to upbringing the children to become good future leaders.



He also appealed to the staff cooperate with the Proprietor to make sure that the school becomes one of the best schools in the Ellembelle District in the near future.

Hon. Charles thanked the Proprietor for having a great vision to establish this school in the area to improve quality education and accessibility.

He also encouraged him to fight hard to maintain the school and pledged his total commitment to support the school anytime the school called on him.

He advised the parents to invest all their resources in their children's education and added that education opens all doors and also advised them to teach their children to be God-fearing.



He disclosed that this gesture is not going to be a nine-day wonder but would be done every year.

Receiving the items on behalf of the school, the Proprietor, Mr. Nachia Nyameke expressed appreciation to the Assembly Member for the kind gesture and promised to motivate the teachers to do their best to ensure the children benefit from the donation.

He used the occasion to thank the community and the surrounding communities for keeping faith in this infant school and assured the gathering that he and his staff would be making sure that discipline is instilled in the children.

He urged the parents to pay their wards fees and also monitor them day in and day out to grow up to become good citizens in the society to serve mother Ghana with humility and selfless.



He promised the donor that the materials would be put to good use and ensure lifespan.

The PTA Chairman of the school, Mr. Bismark Kaku thanked the Assemblyman for the kind gesture and also thanked the parents for enrolling their children in the school to acquire good morals as the name of the school implies.

He also urged the teaching staff to work hard to uplift the image of the school high and advised the children to be obedient to their teachers and parents and be law-abiding pupils.



Moreover, some of the children also expressed their appreciation towards the Assembly Member and promised to learn hard in order to achieve their aim.

The colourful ceremony was graced by thousands of people and climaxed by a march-past by the school's Cadet.
