Bagbin donates to Wa Hospital

Wa, Aug. 19, GNA- Mr Alban S.K. Bagbin, Minority Leader in Parliament on Wednesday presented a quantity of medical equipment to the Wa Regional Hospital.

It included inhalation apparatus, oxygen concentration indicators, heating mattresses, lesion generators, respiration generators, moisteners, vasectomy apparatus, syringes, freezers, and hospital beds. Mr Bagbin said the equipment, which were donated by the Oneness-Heart-Tears and Smiles (Nothilfe International) were meant to improve facilities at the Hospital.

He said he would keep on supporting medical students and encourage them to come back to work in the region as a way of solving the problem of lack of health professionals in the country.

The Minority Leader said he had been talking to medical doctors from the Upper West Region to spend their annual leave in the region and offer services to the people.

Mr Bagbin commended all health workers who have been working in the region for their selfless contribution towards the improvement of health delivery in the region.

Receiving the equipment, Dr Daniel Yeyemain of the Hospital thanked Mr Bagbin for the items and all other support he had given to the Hospital.

"We are so grateful because all these equipment would be of great benefit in our hospital and other health centres and see it as a complementary role to the government's efforts." he said.
