The spokesperson of the group, Kodzo Hamenya Keglo speaking at the Ghana International Press Centre said “while JM was preaching made in Ghana goods (such as shoes, batik and locally made clothes), the wife was doing the opposite by printing T Shirts from China which is a huge disappointment for Ghanaian printing companies.The 20 million pieces of T Shirts JM’s wife printed from China, could have been shared to party members to print them locally and would have created a lot of jobs for Ghanaians.”
JM’s brothers are the main reason why we lost the 2016 elections, collecting all contracts from Airport, Roads, Cocoa Board, GNPC, ECG , VRA, Ministry of Power and all major contracts in the country.“If you don’t see JM brothers, you cannot get a contract and if you see them, then you have to pay money before you get the contract, frustrating foreign contractors and companies by taking Ghanaian contractors for granted and creating enemies for the NDC party,”

Rawlings was very justified in his criticism of Mills's Presidency.Rawlings felt very responsible for everything that went wrong in that administration being that he founded the NDC party and was directly responsible for Atta Mills's political career and presidency.When the late president surrounded himself with inexperienced greedy party novices who couldn't even organize a decent independence day parade,our national security was put in grave danger.Remember those were the days after the Ivorian Civil War when rebels and refugees alike were pouring in great numbers into Ghana and Outarra was doing his very best to drag Ghana into the quagmire.We needed a sturdy hand and an experienced leadership to secure our peace and national interests.Mills failed to provide that.His absurd "dzi wo fie asem" policy was a green light to Outarra that he was dealing with a weak leadership.After that, Outarra made numerous false accusations about Ghana's complicity in the war and subsequently lodged a counter claim for our oilfields which are still in litigation.So with all due respect to Atta Mills, Cadman Mills must let sleeping dogs lie so that we can move forward as a nation.Rawlings was not responsible for the cancer that killed Mills and his hurt"feelings" was a very small price he paid considering the mess he left behind.

The Akan people are believed to have migrated to their current location from the Sahara desert and Sahel region of Africa into the forested region around the 11th century, and many knowledgeable Akans tell their history as it started in Eastern region of Africa as this is where the ethnogenesis of the Akan as we know them today happened. Akan myths and lies however tell a genesis of originating from a hole somewhere in the Ashanti forests! Oral traditions of the ruling Abrade (Aduana) Clan relate that they originated from ancient Ghana. They migrated from the north, they went through Egypt and settled in Nubia (Sudan). Around 500AD (5th century), due to the pressure exerted on Nubia by Axumite kingdom of Ethiopia, Nubia was shattered, and the Akan people moved west and established small trading kingdoms. These kingdoms grew, and around 750AD the Empire of Ghana was formed. The Empire lasted from 750AD to 1200AD and collapsed as a result of the introduction of Islam in the Western Sudan, and the zeal of the Muslims to impose their religion: their ancestors eventually left for Kong (i.e. present day Ivory Coast). From Kong they moved to Wam and then to Dormaa (both located in present-day Brong-Ahafo region). The movement from Kong was necessitated by the desire of the people to find suitable savannah conditions since they were not used to forest life. Around the 14th century, they moved from Dormaa South Eastwards to Twifo-Hemang, North West Cape Coast. This move was commercially motivated. The kingdom of Bonoman (or Brong-Ahafo) was established as early as the 12th century,.[8] Between the 12th and 13th centuries a gold boom in the area brought wealth to numerous Akans.During different phases of the Kingdom of Bonoman, groups of Akans migrated out of the area to create numerous states based predominantly on gold mining and trading of cash crops.This brought wealth to numerous Akan states like Akwamu Empire, (1550-1650) and ultimately led to the rise of the most well known Akan empire, the Empire of Ashanti(1700-1900), the most dominant of the Akan states.

I think what made Rawlings angry was the humiliation that his went through at their Sunyani congress. By the information I had was that Rawlings used his numerous connections to secure the much needed campaign financing to help Mills in his three attempts to the flagstaff house with the hope that his wife will eventually be handed the baton. But instead Mills succumbed to the pressure from John Mahama and his cronies and broke the agreement.
