Zonta club of Tema organizes x'mas fair for kids

Tema, Dec. 24, GNA -- The Zonta Club of Tema, over the weekend organised Christmas fair for children in the Tema Municipality to climax its activities for the year.

The fair, which is the first of its kind forms part of the club's services to the community and it was also to make the children feel happy and to socialize with each other.

The children were involved in various activities, including horse riding, games, drinking and eating as well as various competitions, whiles awards were presented to those who emerged as winners in the competition.

In an interview, the president of the club, Ms. Agnes Appiah advised the kids to learn hard at school to justify the investment made in them and also to respect, not only their parents but everybody they meet in life.

She also advised them on the need to be honest and disciplined since they are the future leaders of the country. She said Zonta Club of Tema is a women's group, which apart of rendering services to the community also solicit for funds to embark on developmental projects to enhance the status of women. In a related development the Mega Mac Ghana Limited, a film production company has celebrated its first anniversary and fund raising in aid of equipment to support its activities.

The occasion was also used to re-launch 91TV Theatre', a popular Ghanaian television programme, which was shown on Ghana Television (GTV).

The Managing Director of Mega Max, Maxwell Aidoo appealed to organisations to come to sponsor their activities which he hoped would get the youth employed and occupied.
