Communications Director of the opposition New Patriotic Party(NPP), Nana Akomea has said the large crowds at Nana Akufo-Addo’s rallies in the NDC’s stronghold-Volta region should be a frightening news for the NDC in the lead up to the December 7, elections.

“Recently they pelted us with stones when we went there, and now if reporters are saying that there is no significant difference between the partisan crowds of Nana Addo and President John Dramani Mahama in the Volta region which is supposed to be the NDC government’s stronghold, then I’ll say it is the most profound political report I have heard so far in my entire life.”

Speaking on Anopa Kasapa on Kasapa 102.5 FM, Nana Akomea said the fall of the NDC in this election has become imminent so much so that the Volta Chiefs could even stand up to Mahama and complain of a number of issues they dislike about his government.

All that the NPP will have to do in the upcoming polls, Nana Akomea noted was for them to guard jealously against rigging in this elections, as Ghanaians he said are clamoring for change.

“If the Awomefia for Anlo Traditional Area and likewise the Peki Chief could complained bitterly in public that the NDC has deserted them in the area, then it should tell you that a wind of change is blowing in this elections”.

Whether Nana Addo goes down to defeat in the NDC’s stronghold-Volta region, he’d built a formidable following in political history that needs to be acknowledged, Akomea said.

The 2016 presidential candidate of the New Patriotic Party, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, on Monday, October 24, 2016, began his 5-day tour of the Volta Region with a clarion call to voters of the region to help change President Mahama’s government on December 7, and return the country onto the path of progress and prosperity.

According to Nana Akufo-Addo, “the time has come for us to put people in office who are capable of giving this country a really effective and efficient government, so that we can make progress in our country.”

The NPP flagbearer made this known when he addressed Togbui Agamela IV, the acting Paramount Chief of the Peki Traditional Council, in the South Dayi constituency.
