US & UK to offer support to Ghana Police over 3 kidnapped Takoradi girls

The Ghana Police Service is seeking the support of American and British security agencies to rescue three teenagers who have been kidnapped at separate instances at Takoradi in the Western Region.

President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo MyNewsGh.com gathered, has also directed the Inspector General of Police, David Asante-Appeatu to prioritize these Kidnapping investigations with the support he would receive from sister security agencies from the two countries.

Director General of the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) DCOP Maame Yaa Tiwaa Addo- Danquah together with other police chiefs on Saturday, held separate meetings with the families of the three kidnapped victims on Saturday to reassure them of the commitment of the police in finding them.

She expressed sympathy and concern from the IGP and the Police Administration to the families and reiterated the commitment the police administration in doing everything possible to rescue the victims.

Priscilla Mantebea Koranchie, Priscilla Blessing Bentum and Ruth Love Quayson were kidnapped between August and December 2018 and have not been released despite their families paying ransom to the kidnappers.

The Police command in the Western region last week disclosed that the three girls kidnapped had established a relationship with their alleged kidnapper Willis.

One Nigerian – Samuel Udoetuk Wills who is the prime suspect in the matter has been arrested an in police custody assisting with investigations with news suggesting another person has been apprehended in connection with the kidnapping in the area.
