Tema West NPP Chairman saves 1000 brilliant but needy pupils from dropping out of school

The mood of one thousand (1000) brilliant but needy students who were dropping out from school over old and tattered school uniforms at the Mexico school complex in the Tema West constituency were highly lifted after receiving 1000 pieces of brand new school uniforms from the Tema West NPP constituency Chairman, Nana Boakye Sefa.

A short ceremony was held at the Mexico school compound where the brand new school uniforms worth 50,000 Ghana Cedis were handed to the needy students.

According to teachers of the public school, the bad nature of uniforms of these brilliant pupils was affecting teaching and learning which nearly led to a mass drop out.

Speaking to the media after handing over the uniforms, the NPP Chairman indicated that, children's education is one of the topmost priorities of the Nana Akufo Addo government and the member of Parliament, Hon. Carlos Ahenkorah, hence embarking on this kind move to restore hope and confidence of these brilliant but needy students.

"The NPP government led by Nana Addo Dankwah Akufo Addo and my member of Parliament Hon. Carlos Ahenkorah are much concern about the education and future of these young children and we as members of the NPP party must also do our bit to support the government through given hope and arms to the needy in the society" Nana Boakye stated.

The NPP Chairman again, called on the Tema west municipal assembly as a matter of urgency, construction fence wall in all the public schools in the municipality to secure and prevent squatters from disturbing the peace of staff and students and again, made appeal to other cooperate bodies to support the needy in the society.

The beneficiaries expressed gratitude to the Chairman and the NPP government as a whole and promised to take good care of the uniforms.

"We are very much grateful to chairman Nana Boakye for the kind gesture and we promise to study hard so that we can also enjoy our share of the free SHS" the beneficiaries expressed.
