Shun your political detractors - Queen of Nkoranza tells Akufo-Addo

Nana Adutwumwaa Dudaa Kani, the Queen of Nkoranza Traditional Area has called on President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo to shun his political detractors and focus on developing Ghana beyond aid.

She told the President not to worry about unnecessary criticisms from his detractors and political opponents ostensibly, to make his government unpopular, and rather concentrate on national reconstruction processes.

Nana Kani gave the advice when Vice President Dr Mahamudu Bawumia paid a courtesy call on her at Nkoranza in the Bono East Region to begin a day's visit to the area.

Accompanied by Ministers and Deputy Ministers of State, as well as Members of Parliament, the Vice President is in the newly created Region to interact with the Zongo communities.

He also joined Muslim worshippers at Nkoranza, Kajaji, and the Kwame-Danso Central Mosques to offer prayers during the Ramadan season.

Nana Kani said the chiefs and people of Nkoranza was solidly behind President Akufo-Addo and his government, and appealed to the Vice President to help improve infrastructure and the deplorable condition at the Nkoranza main market. Vice President Dr Bawumia said the government was on course and required support from Ghanaians to build a better Ghana and push development to the next level.

He directed Mr Kofi Amoakohene, the Bono East Regional Minister to collaborate with the Nkoranza Municipal Assembly to improve conditions at the Nkoranza market.

The Vice President told the Muslim worshippers that government was determined to develop the Zongo communities, and advised the Muslims to intensify prayers for Nana Akufo Addo and his government and also pray to strengthen national peace as well.
