The Coalition for unemployed Private Nurses Association has stormed the Ministry for Health to demand postings.

The unemployed nurses numbering over 300 picketed at the ministry on Monday saying they have been discriminated against since 2010.

The nurses claim they have been at home for years waiting for their postings as the ministry keeps making unfulfilled promises.

The director of operations for the group, Richmond Asomaning, in an interview with Starrfmonline.com stated that they will picket at the ministry until their grievances are addressed.

The chanting nurses who came from different parts of the country for the picket and have vowed to remain at the precincts of the Ministry held placards such as “treat us fairly” and “treat us like your own children”.

This comes after over 200 trainee nurses besieged the premises of the Health Ministry demanding the suspension of a freeze on hiring in March this year.
