A deputy Minister for Education in charge of Tertiary Education, Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa has disclosed that the Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo Addo is portraying President Mahama as a failure because he wants his job.

According to him, Nana Addo knows very well that he (president) has changed lives in his four (4) year rein than any government but telling the truth will maintain the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in opposition, hence he understands their tactics.

Speaking on Metro TV’s Good Morning Ghana last Friday, Okudzeto Ablakwa who is also the Member of Parliament for North Tongu said, the NPP flagbearer in all his 12 year term as MP for Abuakwa North could not provide portable water for the people of Kyebi, “it took the intervention of President Mahama, so Nana Addo knows that President is working”.

He observed that 123 community day senior High schools built by the President is the biggest investment any government has done with respect to schools in the country.

“Only two days ago, President Mahama cut sod for a one billion dollar Tema port project that is going to create 5000 jobs and after that he cut sod for the Tema interchange which is about to begin, which means a lot to those of us who travel beyond Accra using the motor way. And in all these Nana Addo Addo and his NPP say President is a failure”, Okudzeto held.

The MP cited the Youth Enterprise Scheme (YES) and MASLOC as interventions which are changing real lives under President Mahama, so Nana Addo could not be oblivious to it.

”The YES and MASLOC initiative for examples have made gains, we are helping small scale business owners helping traders and people below the poverty line. We are supporting and granting them capital, giving them support services so that they can expand the business and create jobs in this country. If you look at all the interventions that President Mahama has been engaging in it is about improving the living conditions of our people, all the roads, hospitals, schools are all part”, he stated.

Mr. Ablakwa urged Ghanaians to retain President Mahama on the seat for him to continue building a better Ghana with the numerous infrastructure projects.

“That is why President Mahama said he’s not done yet, though he has made progress, there is still a lot more the NDC can do for our country and that’s why he’s offering himself for reelection. Look at what he has done in 4 years and compare with those who have been in office before him. President Mahama has a solid record”, he indicated.
