Mamfihene calls on his other colleagues to help re-unite Akuapem

Mamfe-Akuapem (E/R), Dec. 27, GNA - Osabarima Ansah Sasraku, Mamfihene, has called on chiefs of the Akuapem Traditional Area to put aside their differences and work towards the re-unification of Akuapem. Osabarima Sasraku was speaking at a durbar of chiefs and people on Friday to climax their "Ohum" festival.

He said Ghana had a rich culture which, when properly focused, could help in the development of the country and called on the youth to uphold the country's culture.

Osabarima Sasraku appealed to parents in the area to show more interest in the education of their children so that they could develop to be useful citizens. This year's Ohum festival was sponsored by MTN, which is also sponsoring street carnival in the town and a football gala between six teams selected from six Akuapem communities.
