Major accident on Tema Motorway, scores injured

About 9 people are in critical condition and are receiving treatment following an accident on the Accra-Tema motorway Friday afternoon.

A minivan with car registration number, CR 660-19 veered into the side of the road after being crossed by another vehicle from behind, hitting into a concrete slab on the side of the road.

Police reports indicate that the vehicle was returning from Beposo in the Western Region to Dzita.

About nine passengers who sustained various degrees of injury have since been transferred to the Tema General Hospital for intensive care.
